About Robert Roye, MD
Robert Roye, MD, is a specialist in general orthopedics and sports medicine. He provides state-of-the-art care to patients at Regional Orthopaedic and Sports Medicine Center, located in Waxahachie and Hillsboro, Texas, and serving the north-central Texas area communities, including Ellis, Dallas, Tarrant, Johnson, Hill, Navarro, and Kaufman.
Dr. Roye completed his Bachelor of Arts at the University of Texas at Austin, graduating magna cum laude. He then attended medical school at the University of Texas Health Science Center Medical School in San Antonio, graduating with honors. Following medical school, he was an assistant resident physician in general surgery at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences. He also was a resident in orthopedic surgery at the same institution. In addition, he completed an arthroscopic and open shoulder surgery elective and a sports medicine elective with John Conway, MD, at Harris Methodist Hospital in Fort Worth, Texas.
. Roye is a fellow of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, as well as a diplomate of the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery. He is a member of the Texas Medical Association, Texas Orthopaedic Association, Ellis County Medical Society, and Texas Society of Sports Medicine. He has contributed his expertise to a variety of papers and presentations on various subjects in orthopedics.
He has worked as a team physician and orthopedic consultant for area high schools and colleges since 1993. That same year, Dr. Roye opened his first office in Waxahachie.
He is affiliated with several hospitals in the area, including Baylor Scott & White Medical Center, Ennis Regional Medical Center, Bluebonnet Surgery Pavilion, Crescent Medical Center, and Hill Regional Hospital.
